Managing dunning doesn’t have to be complicated. This section gives you simple answers to the most common user questions — so you can take action faster, avoid manual work, and stay in control at every step.
Need to check what was sent? Just go to the “Dunning Processes” tab on either the customer or the invoice record. You’ll find all relevant dunning actions there - including stages, sent documents, and what's next.
Prefer saved searches? Use “Within Collection” to get a quick list view.
Use case: Track all dunning activities in one place without jumping between tools.
If you just want to trigger dunning for one specific invoice, open the invoice and hit “Next Dunning”. That’s it — no need to go through the Console. Perfect for quick follow-ups or exception cases.
Use case: Save time on one-off follow-ups or escalations.
Sales needs to stay in the loop - especially before things escalate. Use the “Inform Sales” button on any invoice to send a pre-filled message to the assigned rep.
Use case: Coordinate customer communication across departments.
When all dunning levels are exhausted, use the “Proposal for Collection” search to identify overdue invoices. Open the invoice and click “Collection” to:
pre-fill a message to your agency,
attach documents automatically,
and send it - with one click.
Use case: Escalate efficiently when internal processes no longer work.
Need to CC the CFO or loop in your shared inbox? On the customer record, go to the Dunning tab and add CC or BCC emails - separated by semicolons. These addresses will receive all future dunning emails.
Use case: Keep all key stakeholders informed automatically.
If you assign a new dunning process to a customer, don’t waste time updating every invoice manually. Just click “Update Setting” on the customer record - and all open invoices will adopt the new configuration.
Use case: Scale changes quickly, even for large customers.
By combining automation, clarity, and flexibility, the Dunning System helps you manage overdue payments with control, consistency, and less manual effort - across teams, subsidiaries, and markets.
